BHAII: August 2003 / the beat goes on
Back Home Again In Indiana: August 2003 scroll down to the picture of the white house and what I thought about remembering Quentin Beecher and the Vietnam war last year.
If I knew the other boys whose names are on the wall or these from this generation, I would have the same sense of loss.
Let me say this, however, it denigrates them not one bit for anyone who disagreed with the policy that sent them there to say so. That is true for all time and to suggest otherwise is to attempt to use their dead bodies to prop up prior held beliefs.
I wish both sides would state their cases independently and let the dead warriors rest in peace.
