After a day on a Park County farm and the Bull Riding competition and the animal barns at the Vermillion County fair at Cayuga, we got to the corner of 3rd and Washington at 9:12 and turned west then north on 1st Street and then east on Farrington and stopped in someone's driveway and popped the back window of the Pontiac open just in time for the start of the Fireworks. Anthony, the 5 year old, was frightened by the sudden explosion of noise and light and jumped into my lap in the driver's seat where we watched in safety through the side mirror. Kevin and his mom and Judy watched from the tailgate. When it was over, we were gone in 60 seconds and went for Steak Burgers and Chili.
What a fine 4th we had in and around Terre Haute.
