Number 1
After lunch on a cool day in early August, I invited Kevin and Anthony (ages 9 and 6) to follow my (age 64) lead.
I mounted my bicycle and rode to the west end of our street and then down the farm trail and then south between the corn and the beans until we reached a thicket with weeds mashed down at the entrance. We wheeled the bikes into the place where there were signs of deer and then we followed their path to a sandbar on Otter Creek and skipped rocks and chased frogs until we were tired and hungry.
The first frog (Number 1) is pictured above. 5 frogs came home with us in muscle shells and all but one were turned loose in the ditch north of our house. You just can't get other guys my age to do fun stuff like this (except for Dean and Bryce).
